For the first time ever, audiences around the world can experience “Star Wars,” as never before, in 3D. The epic sag has captivated millions with exotic worlds, iconic characters and unforgettable action, and now fans share the theatrical phenomenon with a new generation.

In between the production of Episode II (2002) and Episode III (2005), director George Lucas first began exploring the idea of presenting the entire Star Wars saga as 3D theatrical releases. Active 3D conversion work on Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace began in 2010.

Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace underwent a painstaking frame-by-frame conversion from a 2D film to a 3D experience thanks to the efforts of Prime Focus, a global visual entertainment services company, and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), the preeminent visual effects company that has produced the visuals for all the Star Wars movies.

Movies shot for 3D use specialized cameras that capture two simultaneous images -- one for each eye -- that are projected together during exhibition to create the illusion of depth. Movies created in 2D only have a single image per frame. For 3D conversion, a visual effects process creates what will be seen from the second viewpoint. Because of the two simultaneous images seen together, 3D is commonly called "stereo" in the movie industry.

Much like film editing, 3D conversion is an artistic process filled with artistic choices. George Lucas wanted to present Episode I in a naturalistic stereo style, as if the movie had been shot in 3D. He did not want to include gimmicks, like objects breaking through the screen for the sake of a 3D effect, but rather wanted to add depth to the existing picture.

Supervising the stereo conversion of Episode I is John Knoll, a visual effects supervisor at ILM who served as one of the visual effects supervisors on the original productions of Episodes I, II and III of the Star Wars Saga. Because of Knoll's extensive history with the films, he was able to accurately gauge whether the depth of shots was being presented accurately.

Episode I was the last Star Wars movie captured on film. For its 1999 release, the entire movie was digitized for the inclusion of over 2,000 visual effects shots, and then re-output to film for color-timing and release. It was color-timed optically, with a photo-chemical process. For its 2012 theatrical exhibit, the artists have returned to the original film-out tapes for the stereo conversion and re-timed the movie digitally. The resulting picture sees an increase of two generations' worth of quality. In both 2D and 3D, this is the best Episode I has ever looked.

Some of the biggest challenges in stereo conversion were shots with transparent elements -- like holograms, lightsabers, lasers, Watto's blurred wings, or the windshield on Anakin Skywalker's Podracer. Because Episode I was released over 12 years ago, the conversion artists could not go back to the individual separate elements that were composited to make up the original picture. Instead, they had to work with the finished picture.

Though Episode I is filled with stunning, panoramic vistas, it is the close-up and medium shots that often create the greatest sense of depth. In 3D, this is because objects closer to the viewer are seen as more offset from each other between the right eye and left eye views; we see more around an object's edges up close. Distant objects have a minimal offset between the eyes and appear to be less dimensional.

There were no content changes made to Episode I for the 3D release. George Lucas replaced the original Episode I Yoda puppet with the digital Yoda back in 2003. With the film to tape transfer, there was an 8% blowup, so you actually get 8% more image on screen.

Disclaimer : I must say that I did not know beer as much as I know cosmetics, any opinion will be based on my taste buds' 'instincts'. I know it sounded bimbo, but being a homie who doesn't drink, you know? *shrug and smile*

It was the 9th day of Chinese New Year 2012.
Carlsberg hosted a traditional "Lou Sang" and "Yum Seng" in its visitors lounge. Key distributors, customers, trade/business partners and media were invited to share this joyous occasion.

Doraemon World 2012 @ Genting Arena of Stars

Recently, I noticed a lot of Doraemon's merchandise's pictures in Facebook.
Not only in Facebook, they're on billboards and banners too!
Even the radio is shouting Doraemon!

Initially, it did not bother me because I am not a huge Doraemon fan. Until, I saw some friends posted this in Facebook

Doraemon is a futuristic cat sent back in time by Nobita's great great grandson Sewashi to improve Nobita's circumstances so that their descendants may enjoy a better future.

In the original timeline, Nobita experienced nothing but misery and misfortune manifested in the form of poor marks and grades, physical disasters, and bullying thoughout his life.
This has lead to a burning down of a future business he set up and leaves his family line beset in financial problem.

So, in order to alter his family's future, Doraemon was sent to aid Nobita.

Remember the cocky Suneo who loves to show off his cool gadgets?

Suneo is portrayed to be cunning, arrogant, cocky, narcissist but deep inside he is a caring, kind, sensitive and supportive person. He wails like a kid whenever his friend's life are in danger!

I kinda thing he is a cute character :P

It was my primary school days when I first seen this in Doraemon's animation and since then, I never stop hoping that it exists. Even until today.

Honestly, I and my younger brother tried this on normal breads but it doesn't work.

Jiufen, Taipei (1) ♥ 九份山城 (一) “古早味”

When I first stepped into this old street, nostalgic scences of a japanese anime which used to be my younger days favourite flashes in my head.

I couldn't figure out what was that anime called until a friend told me that this place was being modelled in the anime 《千与千寻》, Spirited Away, by the famous Japanese manga artist and prominent film director as well as animator of many popular anime featured film - Hayao Miyazaki 宮崎駿.

The very famous anime back in 2001 which has been the first in the history of Japan to won an American Academy Award.

The lanterns, the street, the shops inspired the animation.

Jiufen quickly went into decline after World War II.
In 1989, A movie called A City of Sadness 《悲情城市》 became a big hit in theatres awakening people's memory of Jiufen.
The nostalgic scenery of Jiufen as seen in the movie has charmed many people into visiting Juifen.

In 2001, Jiufen became popular when its downtown was used as a model in 《千与千寻》, Spirited Away.

Mr. Hayao Miyazaki 宮崎駿 was named one of the most influential people by Time Magazine.

JiuFen, 九份, is a mountain area in the Ruifang District of the New Taipei City near Keelung, Taiwan.
If you don't want to call a cab nor drive all the way there, you can take a train from Taipei to their north Ruifang瑞芳 station. And then from Ruifang, takes the Keelung Transit bus infront of the bus stop to JiuFen station.

Jiou Fen, 九份, means nine portions in english.

Why??

We have to start from days back in the Dynasty of Qing.
Jiufen mountain housed 9 families thus "nine portions" will be requested everytime the shipment arrived from town.

Jiufen was an isolated village until 1893, when gold was discovered in that area.

The village quickly developed into a town due to the resulting gold rush, and reached its peak during the Japanese Rule making it called the "Little Shanghai" or "Little Hong Kong".

The first thing I had was something like an ice-cream pancake and ice-cream dorayaki.

Mushrooms are my all-time favourite. Especially when it's barbecued with salt added!

Wild boar sausage. Tasted very much like the Taiwanese sausage I had in our local Pasar Malam.

Its fresh white bittergourd juice blended with honey!
Bitterly sweet :9

Foods are everywhere.

I have the urge to buy these really cute postcard (left picture : Damn cute right!!??). They can be cut out and sewed into tiny plushie cats, dogs, elephants etc.

You wouldn't reject this hot ginger soup in a freezing cold winter day.

If you are a Snow Flakes fan, you should really have a try on this authentic Taro balls from Jiufen, Taiwan. The Taro balls are 'Q' meaning bouncy enough. Not only that, it tasted like yam when its made of yam; and it didn't taste like 'original' when its suppose to taste like sweet potatoe. If you get what I mean :)
If you are not after the Taro balls, they do offer something else like the red bean soup (if I am not mistaken, other types of desserts are available too).

This is what we called the real taste of handmade!
Their Taro balls are less harder than those we have in Malaysia. It's more bouncy in nature while not sticky to the teeth. Reminds me of my mum's handmade tangyuan during every winter solstice :9

Have you noticed that most buildings and shops in Jiufen are heavily influenced by the Japanese culture?

Many present features of Jiufen reflect the era under Japanese colonization, with many Japanese inns and tea houses surviving to this day.

Soft drinks, healthy drinks, mineral water, fresh fruit juice, ice blended series, milk tea or whatever you-named-it can be found, like across every street!

So to not feel alien, I have decided to visit LatTea with my friends just 2 days before leaving Taipei :D

Lucky it wasn't a Saturday.
This place was usually packed during weekends and public holidays!

As I approached their shop, I can already feel the crowd.

Their wifi service make it a perfect place for the studious.

Tables and chairs outside the shop are almost fully occupied. Looking at what came into my first sight I was so worried that indoor might be full and we have to end up sitting at the unoccupied seats outside the shop.

"Oh Lord, not on a winter day!"

Thank god, we managed to get a table just enough for us inside the shop.

綠蓋茶‧館 LatTea was found in the year 2002 in Kaohshiung高雄 and followed by a rapid rise in popularity, LatTea was then expanded to all over the most happening spots in Taiwan.

They are everywhere!

I am not too sure what you'd call it. I call it whipped cheese cream instead of whipped cream cheese because the whipped cream on top of the drink are made of cheese!

Yes salty! When the drink was first placed on my table, I was like "ughhh" what's so special about this? It's just whipped cream plus Jasmine green tea that I can have in Malaysia tho.

But to my surprise, the first sip really makes me... wanted to have more!
It was not only sweet and frangranced by Jasmine Green Tea, having them together with the saltish cheesy whipped cream makes it really 'surprising' to the taste buds!

This should be the first blogpost amongst my trip to Taiwan but i-baked came first because I couldn't wait to share how good those cookies were!

It was the most amazing countdown fireworks I have ever seen in my life.

I know UK or any other country has a better one but hey man, we're here talking about TAIPEI, one of the most happening city in Asia!

Everyone was with their camera up when Taipei 101 features the number 10 and started counting down!

Know what? People are 'conquering' the whole street just to witness this remarkable moment.

Rumours saying that Lee Hom is a gay and pictures/video of him giving blow job to another man circulating in the internet.
We couldn't tell if the videos are 100% genuine.
It could be some Lee Hom super-lookalike. We don't know.

Anyway, be Lee Hom a gay or not, as a genuine fan who admires his hardwork on composing the best musics, we shouldn't discriminate and love him like we always do.

The one question most commonly asked by the people I met after my Taiwan trip was that :" Are all Taiwanese gorgeous looking?"

It's true that Taiwanese girls are generally good looking.
I believe it has to do with their culture and upbringing.

Noticed that all of them are well-groomed, well-mannered and polite.

Be that girl selling lemonade in night market, the pharmascists who dispense drugs in pharmacies, the waitresses that serves your foods, or that girl working in a motorbike workshop.
Besides being known as the makeup experts, majority of them look naturally good even without slapping excessive amount of makeups on their face.

And one envious fact is that, most of them are slim, tall and fair-skinned.
If it's summer time, I will definitely pull on my high heels. Like everyday!

For those who admires beauty like I do, trust me you will never have a minute resting your eyes.

For the gentlement, if you are around 180cms.
You are the average Taiwanese.

I kid you not.

She was the cover girl for FHM magazine on month 7 in the year 2010!

i-baked was interviewed by FHM too!

During her childhood days in Canada, one thing she loves most is the traditional home-made cookies. To satisfy her craves, her passion on baking cookies started while she was a 7-and-a-half.

In 2009, she started her first traditional sandwich cookies shop in Taipei, Taiwan with a friend named Lilian, where she met in an animal organisation called Animal Taiwan.

On my first bite, I thought the cookies weren't nicely baked because they were too soft compare to those really nice ones I had in Malaysia!

Until I read her writeup in ivybaked.com, I learnt that a good traditional American cookie has to be soft, chewy and slightly crunchy to the bite.

Macoto Tea by Jogoya - The Original Taiwanese Desserts

Seriously, I have never tasted a single piece of sun biscuit in my life.

Not until my recent trip to Taiwan.

One thing I noticed from the way Taiwanese prepare their foods are that, no tolerations on the quality.

Yes, I mean night market. Pasar Malam :)

Fresh and sweet Strawberries covered with condensed milk as well as strawberries syrup making it a dessert fell from heaven.

Pudding are made with fresh milk.
Believe it or not, I have never tasted any milk pudding fresher than this.

Be it from Facebook or The Star Newspaper, I believe that some of you have spotted my appearance in The Star Metro dated back in 23rd December 2011.

I was honored to be one of the first Malaysians to taste Macoto tea's newly launched bubble tea.

Thanks to the founder of Jogoya, Mr. Jiang Zheng Nan, 蔣正男,and the Director of Macoto Tea Mr. Yap Zhi Chau, we now get to enjoy the meticulous Taiwanese desserts originates from Taiwan.

If you ask me what is so special about their newly launched bubble tea?

FIRST

All machines and desserts making technologies as well as skills are directly imported from Taiwan making Macoto Tea a totally Taiwanese dessert palace!

Mr. Jiang Zheng Nan has shared that to ensure the best is extracted from the tea leaves, tea leaves must be cooked for 10 minutes in water temperature between 78 degree Celsius and 80 degree Celsius.

To ensure that only teas of tip top quality are served, teas will never be kept longer than 24 hours!

SECOND

I started off this post by saying that I haven't have a single bite of sun biscuit in my life until my recent Taiwan trip.

If you are wondering what sun biscuit is. .

Macoto Tea is planning to launch this biscuit in their outlets if you Malaysians love it!

During each of my friends or families' visit to Taiwan, I will never forget to ask for pineapple tarts.

I wasn't a superb fan of pineapple tarts until my first bite on one that was being brought all the way home from Taiwan by my younger brother.

Unlike those pineapple tart you see in your relatives/friends' house during Chinese New Year, Taiwanese pineapple tarts are usually rectangular in shapes.

Another irresistable distingushing feature of Taiwanese pinapple tarts are that, they are all baked freshly instead of machine-produced!

Can you believe that in Taiwan, people are willing to queue for Sunnyhills pineapple tarts for an hour?

According to the local, besides the sweet ones, there're also pineapple tarts which are slightly sour in taste and Sunnyhills' pineapple tart belongs to the latter.

The crust is so soft that it melts instantly in your mouth!

If you're not a super sugar fan like me, this is definitely something for you!

Was standing infront of my wardrobe trying to figure out what to wear for like almost half a day.

I kid you not.

No information on the party venue.

It could be somewhere as sunshine-y as

WooOo~ Sunshine babeh! :D

Or as wet as

A swimming pool party with hot hunks and bikini babes

Or it could just be

Carlsberg has made the party location a secret keeping their fans curious and looking hard for leads for the location, time and other party details.

So to avoid going back in wet cloths (just in case it is held in a beach like last year's), we have decided to bring another set of cloths.

Oh ya I mean

This time, 2,000 by-invited guests will be challenging the curiousity of partying in an unknown location.

He was trying to tease us by giving out hints on the party's whereabouts but what we all wanted was for him to strip.

Initially I thought the party will be held in Putrajaya stadium but I was terribly wrong.

This time, the exclusive by-invitation only party was held at the very own Carlsberg Malaysia's Brewery in Shah Alam, the facility where the first Carlsberg beer was locally brewed in 1972.

The coolest thing about partying in Calrsberg factory is that we do not only get free flows of beer but also freshly brewed Carlsberg that you will rarely taste from the retails.

We were being passionately welcomed by the crews.

Now I know how Paris Hilton feels teehee! :P

To liven up the atmosphere in the evening all through the wee hours, we will be expecting an array of entertaining performances by international DJs, renowned rappers, bands and musicians.

We were all assigned a unique RFID (Radio-Frequency Identity) tags.

This tags enabled us to collect points from the games we played and redeem prizes accordingly.

These RFID tags were linked to our very own Facebook accounts and enabled us to update our Facebook status simply by tagging on the “Like” stations throughout the brewery.

The party incorporated an 'amusement park' theme which had an eclectic mix of exciting games, fun rides and free flow of Carlsberg beer.

There were also various group challenge games such as ‘Road Runner’, ‘Peddle to the Bell’ and ‘Dare to Dash?’ which aimed to engage all partygoers and create a community spirit among them.

Whoever that rings the bell first wins.

With its reputation as the ‘party of the year’, this time, a key highlight of the party was the Sky Ride, which gave partygoers an exhilarating experience of being buoyed by a hot air balloon.

Consumers were also given an opportunity to relive their childhood and be enthralled by circus acts which included stilt walkers, unicyclists, jugglers and balloon sculptors.

With much curiousities, I walked there to explore what is in it.

In line with Carlsberg’s philosophy of responsible drinking, Carlsberg encouraged all partygoers to enjoy responsibly and in moderation. As part of the ‘Enjoy Responsibly’ campaign, Carlsberg planned engagement activities for consumers such as the Alcohol Testing Zone, where consumers had their alcohol level tested while partying.

Drunk Man Zone which enabled consumers to play an android game which showed them the effect of excessive alcohol consumption.

One cannot compare their Desserts to Snowflakes'.

Reasons :

1. UFO serves my favourite snacks ie. cheesey hotdogs, fried squid ring, fried chicken fillet, all sorts of french fries etc. :D

2. Their beeping UFO is green instead of red.

Think this is my 5th visits to UFO Dessert shop and 3rd time accompanied by Danny.

He has always been my companion because he enjoy riding in my car.
* Seriously he said the air-con in my car is cold enough to make him feel London. So I will name my car London car from now onwards.

For every restaurant/dessert shop I visit, I will never miss their signature dishes.

United Buddy Bears Malaysia @ Pavillion Kuala Lumpur

Went for a family outing and came across the United Buddy Bear exhibition exhibited along the entrance of Pavillion KL.

I thought it was only a few of them while glancing through The Star news.

In fact there were 143 of them representing 143 nations!

The United Buddy Bears are a series of painted, fibre-glass, 2m life-sized bear sculptures originated from Berlin, Germany.

The initiators of United Buddy Bears activities were Kluas and Eva Herlitz who are a married couple with three sons as well as business people living in Berlin.

The united bear tour started in June - November 2002 in Berlin, Germany. The bears have so far travelled 5 continents and Malaysia is the 23rd stop and 17th country on the global stop.

The mission of the United Buddy Bear World Tour is to deliver message of tolerance, peaceful co-existence and support for children in need.

Went A Salon at Fahrenheit to have my hair dyed after work last Friday.

I got my ownselves a brown shade.

If you notice, the color was darker on the tips and lighter on the roots.

According to the hairstylist, this is to prevent my tips looking too much lighter than my roots after a few washings.
* You know? Your roots tend to look darker compare to you tips because your roots slap on your head while your tips flow.
And that's what makes your locks look lighter in the tips.*

Love them no longer looking dry and dead after the treatments.

Love it without leaving awful ammonia smells on my hair! ♥

Petaling Street Warriors 大英雄。小男人

A locally produced movie set in 1908, Petaling Street.
Starring a number of local and Singaporean celebrities which I am sure most of you out there are familiar with.

I would say this is so far one of the best local productions with proper filming and really good quality kung-fu scenes.

Petaling Street Warrior tells a story of a married couple, Shi Duyao (Mark Lee) and Zhung Lichun (Yeo Yann Yann), living their humble life running a Hokkien mee stall in Petaling Street (the famous Gam Lin Kei 金莲记) suffering from the inefficiency of the colonial government and the suppressions of the chinese gangster.

Their quiet life was disturbed when the British Colonies, the Qing warriors and the Japanese ninjas came hunting after them for a secret treasure map which was believed to be the ancestral of the lost emporer of Jianwen of Ming Dynasty.

These fighting scenes were really funny that I couldn't help laughing into tears.

If you were borned in the 90s and before, you can definitely tell who this is.
Besides Mr Bean, she (he, I mean :P) was one of the comedians that has made up my childhood days.

I almost forget Liang PoPo's existence until her appearance in this movie!

This movie can be better if it is not that lengthy.

One thing I am really particular about movies are that the characters shouldn't be appearing from here and there and then later gone for no reasons.
Its like a beggining with no ending that leaves you in puzzles.
This happened to one or two characters but they are not significant enough to spoil the whole movie.

Some of my friends actually fell into sleeps not long after the movie started thanks to some of the rather lame and unecessary scenes.

Well, ignoring the 'my-friends-sleeping-part', it's still a movie worth watching.

I was tolly blur when I was being invited to the 7aste event.
Luckily, my friend Andy Kho was kind enough to share what 7aste is all about.
Only then I have a clue on what party I was actually attending.

From what I understand, "7" has something to do with Mild7 cigarette.
In Malaysia, we are not allowed to have open cigarette events so yeahhh now you know why 7aste.

In the past few years 7aste has "sent" their people to party in different cool cities - Capetown, Monte Carlo and New York.

If you notice the quotation mark on the word "sent", we are not literally being sent to these cities but parties are organized based on different cities theme in various cool party spots in Malaysia.

This time - Moscow.

To make us feel as if we're in Moscow, the place actually snows!

The first thing that came into my mind when I think of Brickfields is that :
JAM!!
NOT ENOUGH PARKING SPACES!!!
Hello peeps it's KayElle! I am gonna go into one of the busiest street in KayElle!!!
Not only jams are everywhere you can't find parking you get people double-parking behind your car sometimes you have to park in an improper space ie. on the yellow line where you risk being summoned by the police/DBKL/whoever asgkja$#%$*^&%$#^@@@@!!amp;

Having these in mind are enough to stop me from getting there (If it's not for the sake of work *rolled-eyes*).

BUT! I am happy to realize later that it is a neighbourhood cafe-like bakery shop nestled in a modern condominium called 633 Residency where parking spaces can be conveniently found.
* No hastles for parking! *

You can either park inside their condominium or the street parking spaces infront of the building.

The blue canopy with their logo printed on it has made their bakery shop catchy to the eye.

Blue Skies is a very homey bakery shop.

Instead of having the table placing in the middle of the shop during my visit, I saw a rack carrying their range of milky loafs.

Besides their signature milky loafs that comes plain, they have a few other type of loafs.
ie. Chocolate milk loaf, green tea milk loaf, ham milk loaf, multi grain milk loaf, raisin milk loaf etc.

I wanted to get the ham milk loaf but it was sold out! *cry!!*
Therefore, to also suit my family members' taste, I chose chocolate chip milky loaf instead.

Loaf was nicely wrapped in a transparent plastic bag.

Love its thick cut.

Besides the lovely packaging they are having, their loafs and buns are all freshly baked by their bakers on a daily basis.
The lady (who appears to be their marketing executive) told me that their breads are all hand-made and another thing is that they never keep their loafs and buns overnight!

Not only the breads are tasty to the taste bud, their non-preservative added breads are friendly to our health!
*Good choice for those health-concerned!*
Due to this, their breads can only be kept for a maximum of 3 days.

However, you can store it in the fridge when the 3rd day comes if you can't finish it within 3 days. After that, toast'em or steam'em to serve.
This is what I usually do to avoid food wastage.

♥ Fluffy and soft.
♥ Not too sweet.
♥ Chocolate chips are proportionately added into the loaf.

Besides buns and loafs, light dishes like sandwishes are available in their menu.

Also, you can find desserts like pies and cakes.

Even macaroons!

Blue Skies Bakery is being resells under Yosh! Sdn Bhd.

Ughhh!These will really gives you headache because they can not be easily rectified.

Okay unless you are talking about Botox injection or going under the knives.*rolled eyes*

Until I came across this treatment called microdermabrasion some years ago when my boy went for a microdermabrasion facial treatment in a hospital where his aunt is employed. * Don't laugh! Infact he has better skin than I do D': * I learned that these problem can be treated without causing pain.

At that time there was this promotion going on : RM250 instead of RMxxx for a microdermabrasion treatment. (Sorry that I forgot the original price of the treatment)

Microdermabrasion was really expensive back then.

Why the hell so expensive??
Because it is a magical treatment.
MAGIC!

Microdermabrasion uses mild abrasives to remove the top layer of your skin. (It wouldn't be very painful, a bit tingling.)
As I know,there are two ways of conducting microdermabrasion treatment.

Diamond Microdermabrasion vs Microdermabrasion Crystal (feeling expensive? XD)
Diamond Microdermabrasion
A machine that comes with a microdermabrasion tips covered in thousands of tiny diamonds will be used to perform skin exfoliation.
The diamond microdermabrasion tip abrades against the top layer of your skin, pulling it off.
Loose dead skin cells will then sucked away by the microdermabrasion machine.

Crystal Dermabrasion
Crystal Dermabrasion is the traditional microdermabrasion treatment.
Tiny crystals will be sprayed across your face to lightly abrade the surface while suction is performed to remove the dead skin cells and the remaining crystals.

If you are suffering from the below skin conditions, microdermabrasion treatment might be an option worth considering :

Mild non-inflamed acne, white heads and black heads

Fine lines and wrinkles

Large pores

Light scarring

Age spots

Uneven skin texture or skin tone

milia (tiny cysts) prevention

Alright, at least a several swab with a single cotton bud.

Yes, You are not wrong. The handle of the cotton swab acts like a tube that contains make up remover.
Formula inside the tube fills the opposite cotton tips when the blue color ring is snapped.

This is my favourite eye liner. MOST loved!

Kate Gel Eye Liner.
BEST get liner I have ever used so far.

How do I determine BEST?
1. Must be affordable (RM60 and below). *MUST!!!*
2. Must not smudge. It has to be smudge + water proof. *Double MUST!!!*
3. Long lasting. Okay this is arguable. If you've painted it on your water line, it might disappear after a day but still, your eyes are clean.(Do expect slight smudge)
4. Cannot be cake-y. It looks stupid when clumps sit on your eye lids.

Another brand I would recommend besides this one will be Bobbi Brown.
They have this natural dark brown color where they call 'Espresso' appears to be less harsh on your eyes.

Kate smudge poof + water proof gel eye liner on my skin.

First swab.

No significant difference.

Lets look at the cotton tip.

It is slightly stained.

Second swab.

Third swab.

Forth swab.

Fifth swab.

Smudge plus water proof gel liner disappeared after the fifth swab.

Due to it is a water-based eye make up remover, it takes some time to have the water-proof cosmetic completely removed.
One good thing about this product is that, it is convenient to be carried around.
Say you got panda eyes after a long day wearing your eyeliner/mascara, this acts as an instant remedy.
Besides that, it is also a good eye makeup corrector.
And then, the formula is gentle to the eyes(preservative free!). :D *blink blink*

After a 5 weeks of being 3225 . 20kilometres apart, we get to meet each other on Wednesday after work.

I am not sure if this is our belated anniversary dinner.
Anyway, we had our dinner settled in Cafe Takahashi which is located in Tokyo Street @ Pavilion.

Love how they make the plates lined on the wall.

The restaurant was usually packed on weekends and holidays.

Love the Chillie oil (辣油).
It looks like the thick red oil layer on top of curry mee soup but in fact, it goes well with the foods we ordered.
If you ask me how it taste, I would say it's like spicy version of sesame seed oil.

The first thing that came to our table was the beef pizza.
* Sorry, coudln't remember the exact name of the dishes as per written on the menu :P *

Freaking cheesy!

Foods are being served one after another.
We get to enjoy the next dish immediately after finishing one.

This is the one I love most.
You musn't miss this out if you are a fan of Enoki mushrooms.

Enoki mushroom wrapped with beef bacon.
Nicely grilled served with their special-made salty gravy.

Hun thought they were squids and refused to order'em initially.
Until I told him it was Enoki mushroom wrapped with beef bacon, he agreed that we should have that on our table.

Noone could resist the charm of Enoki Mushrooms.

Scallops and chicken meats plus penne, served with cream sauce.

Very creamy white sauce indeed!
This picture isn't being nicely taken because we couldn't wait to swallow the foods into our grounding tummies!

It feels so good to have your loved one coming back for you after some time of being apart. :D

And I thought I was doing my makeup base in a prefectly correct way but after the workshop I felt so stupid for painting my canvas wrongly for like some N years.

It was a real busy day travelling from places to places, meeting people to people.

Discovered this new area in Sungai Buloh named TSB Commercial Centre.
It is an approximate 2km drive from the Sungai Buloh KTM station.

I know it's too early for Xmas but this really gives me a feeling that Christmas is just around the corner.

Lovely ain't it?
I really love Christmas especially the merry Christmas song.

Just like any other kids, I used to believe that Santa exist.
Remember I tried hanging my old white socks (The 'Swan' brand socks we wore during our primary school days remember?) on the headboard of my bed hoping that I'd wake up with some surprise.

Often, I woke up with disappointments.

Until when I saw a scene in tv showing a mum sneaking into the daughter's bedroom and quietly placed a lil pressie into her sock, I realized that Santa doesn't exist.

I felt cheated.

Alright actually I don't mind to be 'cheated' this way so long as I get my pressie. :D
Not only my mum does not do that, she scolded me for messing around with my sock. *shrug*

Eventhough I am no longer as young as I used to be, okay arguably I am still young but not as young and innocent as I was back then, I still hope that I'd wake up with pressie next to me or under the Christmas tree or hidden somewhere behind the toilet bowl or wherever I just don't care. So long as I get my present!
I can't expect my parents to do that anymore so you know?When your daughter grows up the 'burden' of keeping her happy will gradually switch to his boyfriend.

It was last Saturday when I was being invited to Kelvin Gems' Charm Making Workshop.

This was where the event held.
Loving their series of cloths that comes with quality and unique designs.
They have this Italian-made shoes where the shoe boxes are made of wood.
It is a jewelry box kinda shoe box where you can recycled it to be a jewelry box.

Some of their shoes' insole are embeded with artificial diamond ring.
Walking on those shoes will be like you are walking on top of a glass shoes with diamond ring embeded.
Too bad I have not taken any pictures else you will be able to see how unique they are.

There was a small room next to the reception counter which could fit an approximate 8 persons.
We had our workshop conducted there.

Colorful beads and danglings are being nicely organized in a chequered box(I don't know what you call it so I assumed it's called chequered box).

The beads look so yummy with its bright colors that I secretly wished i'd swallow them all haha!

A set of tools are being provided to each of us to work on our charms.

The right wan is a round nose plier used to grip and turn wire into loops.
The left one is a plier where you can easily get from your nearest hardware store.
We use that to make loops, open and close loops, crimp and cut wires.

We were being given a Rhodium plaited copper chain each to start with.

You know, I often have problems making choices especially when everything looks similarly attractive to me.
Whenever I am being urged to make prompt decision I got nervous.

Eventho I have already taken N amount of cuppa Chatime, I still have to stand infront of their menu for at least 10 minutes until I get to pick my desired cup.

Danny has always been the victim of being squeezed and pat on his arm to ease my tension( I got tension and nervous everytime the queue gets shorter. That means I gotta make my choice asap!).
* mind you, I have the tendency to squeeze and pat my friend's arm whenever I am nervous or feeling tension.
Just in case you are curious of who Danny is.

We're always being mistaken as couples because we hangout and take pictures a lot.
What to do? We share a common interest which is to CAMWHORE!

Back to our charm making workshop.
Ya you couldn't imagine how hard it is for me to choose the right beads and danglings for my charm bracelet out of so many.
So, in the end...

I combined everything together.
Everyone is saying that my charm bracelet looks too bulky and 'Rojak'.

For the first time of my life I doubt my artistic sense. *sad*

Besides charm bracelet, we are being guided to make our own multi-purpose necklace.
Why do I say multi-purpose?
It is a long chain with beads and danglings at the end of it where you can turn a necklace into a belt.
Angi demonstrating on how should we have the belt wore on our waist.

Instead of making myself a multi-purpose necklace, I made myself a pair of ear rings!

Naice, aren't they?

I feel greedy looking at all the colours available so I made myself another pair.
Which is in pink.

Pink pearls help brings out the pink glow within you.

I could simply relate this charm making workshop to Christmas with the danglings available.
If you noticed, you'll see cupid/snowflake danglings in the chequette box.
And this one gives a very 'Christmas' feel.

If I am a guy, I will certainly make this for my girlfriend so I can feel the happiness from seeing my own creation hanging on her wrist.

Since it is a Personal Make Up Workshop, we were going with bare face.

They are being neatly arranged on the desk with a mirror and a set of make up tools for each of us.

Meet our beautiful trainer, Miss Julie Wong.
She is the woman standing in the middle, close to the whiteboard.

We were being guided by the professionals.

Time has not took away too much of her youth and looking at her clear complexion, I often forget her age.

I would not say that all their products suit my skin.
I have very oily skin that tends to turn oily when applied with the wrong foundation.
And you know, oily skin results in melting makeup and shiny face which could really ruin your beautiful day.

Their liquid foundations are slightly too oily for my face.

I love their liquid foundations that comes with HD High Definition effect that helps cover up all your flaws as well as pores and enhances your feature making it Photo-Ready.

My make up still stays firmly at where they were supposed to be.
Non-smudging. Without me having to look into the mirror from time to time to check if panda eyes have quietly formed.

However, my face has turned a little bit oily as the foundations do not suit my skin :(
But one thing for sure is that, their liquid foundation stays on your skin without being faded off by the facial sebums.
And, it provides perfect coverage!

You know what?
I really love Penny's skin.
She has not put on any makeup base but her skin complexion is so clear, bright and smooth just like a boiled egg with eggshell peeled.

Just yesterday, a friend of mine has commented that I don't look my age.

He didn't mean that I look younger.

Come to realize,think I do not have any pictures in Facebook showing my face without cosmetics on.

If I were to cast a vote for the greatest invention of all time, it will go to cosmetics.
You can't imagine how insecure I am with the raw material I was gifted.

No matter how much damage that aging and cosmetics have done to my skin, I will still do anything to maintain the look while I still got it. Albeit I can cover it up with cosmetics.

Once wrinkles are formed, they cannot be removed. Damaged skin will never recover unless you go under the knife or treat yourself with several doses of Botox.

Cosmetics can camouflage but I believe that a good beauty regiment is still the mother of all answers.

I used to attend facial sessions with my mum during my college days. But has stopped for a while because mum no longer wants to be my sponsor. =(

To be frank, I never understand why my friends are so enthusiatic about going for facial treatment. Not until I witness the damage that time can do to a woman's skin.
It was last Saturday,
I went for my first facial session without my mum at Herbaline, Setapak.

A lovely welcome path.
Not far away from the main gate,
the beauticians are standing on the doorstep welcoming me with their warmest smile.

A cup of nice warm tea was served while the beautician is patiently briefing me through the whole beauty journey.

A good 5 minutes of foot bath was given before I was ushered into the facial room.

Sea salt was added into the lukewarm water.

Enjoyed a soothing Lavender Spa Aromatherapy before the facial session.

Lovin' the Herbal Facial Treatment where they claimed to be 100% artificial-fragrant free.

It was so relaxing that I couldn't help falling asleep.
By the time I woke up everything was done.
I didn't want it to end!
The massage was so comfortably done that you wished that you'll be having it everyday.

This gives me hiccups.

The Lemongrass ginger Soup is really warm in the stomach and I feel a little bit sweaty after consuming it.

The last pampering session I enjoyed before I left has been the one I anticipated the most.

It's the Fish Spa!

The moment I put my leg into the tank, the fishes were rushing to feast on my feet.
I was wondering how long since these poor lil fellas were last being fed.

I honestly do not think that my feet could feed them enough so I decided to stick my hand into the tank.

I think they would love to have my left hand too.

So, here goes my left hand. =D

I peeled it off and feed it to one of the fishes.
The lucky ones happily pecked and left with the whole piece.

It's really fun to have your dead skin cleared by these little lovely fellas.
I can't stop smiling to myself playing with these lil fishes.

A 15minutes soak was soooo short.

And, hehe!
I've asked for an extension of 10 more minutes to have my feet soaked inside while playing with the fishies.

Luckily, the beautician is kind enough to grant me with all the time I need without charging any extra cost.

It's a Sunday you see.

Things gonna be different tomorrow.
One month is like a blink of an eye I am soon gonna leave Nuffnang.

What awaits me in the future will be umm chain of uncertainties.

I could be :
Working with MilkADeal, a sister company of Nuffnang specializing in groupon deals.

Or, working somewhere else.
It could be a PR firm, or hospiltality industry.

Or maybe I'll end up being a teacher which I couldn't imagine myself being one looking at my very limited patience when it comes to dealin with screaming kids.

Or, you would see me elsewhere folding cloths in some fashion store.

Or worst come to worst, okay I mean not worst but would be best, I would marry a rich man and get myself settled at home with my kids and shop and eat and pamper myself with manicure, facial etc without having to work wtf.

Okay, to be honest I've always been dreaming of having life like that but looking at my hyperactive personality, staying at home waiting to be fed would really kill me so, forget it.

Just had my brunch at Jin Xuan Hong Kong Dim Sum Restaurant @ Kuchai Lama.

I've been bugging my boy for their Dim Sum since our relationship first started and finally in this fine day, he's willing to move his butt and take me there. =D

It's not my first time here, in fact it's me and my family's favourite Dim Sum spot.

Not just a combination of mussel and cheese, but shrimp too.

Meat wrapped with beancurd skin.
There's this one meat wrapped with bacon which I'd give a two thumbs up to but sadly, they're not offering that today. =(

I don't know what you call this in English.
We call it Lo Mai Gai in Cantonese.
Made of starchy soy-sauced rice cooked with braised chicken meat.
I used to love this alot but boycot it since I got food poisoned for eating two portion of this in a shot when I was a small kid.

It's my man's favourite but he thinks that the dim sum restaurant in Jln Ipoh make better ones.

I like it green. =D
In fact I am not much a meat lover.

I love it for not being too oily fried.

You know?They have better fried Dim Sum than steamed ones.
The steamed ones are a lil bit over-steamed making it a lil soggy and less 'bouncy' to the bite.
Yet, they are still good overall.

My boy couldn't stop telling me how good this one tasted.

TWO THUMBS UP FOR THIS!!!Okay I might be over exaggerating.
I love egg tarts.
Flaky, light buttery pastry, encasing a smooth silky egg custard.
Awesome!

The reason why I came back.
Soft bun filled with creamy yet not-too-sweet custard topped with crusty...custard?
I am not sure what it is, custard'd be the closest guess.

Not a qualified food critique.
So if you ask how I'd rate, I would say they don't taste bad (else I won't be coming back bringing my friends teeehee!).

We walked away with a settled bill of approx. RM70+.
To give you an idea what we were paying for.

Ha!Worth the price?

Oh well, it happened few days ago where our HR mama has come up with this crazy idea which is to penalize those who uses the ffff word on that particular day.
The rule is that, besides that you're not being allowed to literally utter the F word, you're also not allowed to shout it in FB or Twitter.
Not even outside office.
Each F word costs you RM0.50.
(Torturing eh?)

So you know foul words have become like a 'mantra' to all of us be it you're a babe or you're a dude.
More or less something that starts with the initial 'L' or 'C' or anything you call it will be instinctively added into your words, especially when you're cursing.
It goes so naturally to the extent where it becomes a 'must' thing just like you don't call a food food when no salt is being added, okay at least to me I don't call a food food without salt added.
*ignore me*

So eh hem our HR mama was smart enough to come up with this idea so to get people to 'donate' each time they fail to control their 'human instinct'.

And to my not-surprised the response was kinda positive.
Besides all the little little coins and small RM1 banknotes. I have even noticed a few RM10 notes in that very cute jar at the end of the day.

Luckily, I wasn't one of the contributors and guess who's the biggest contributor?
The person who owns the largest desktop in office.

The secret to having long lashies without Fakies!

No, not borned long lashies.
Okay it does play an important role.
But not everyone was gifted with long lashies.

Can you belive the long eyelashes in the above picture can be created by using this mascara alone?

Fiberwig I bought from Sasa some time ago.

It's a real awesome product.

1. Smudge proof proven.

I wear make up for more than 12 hours a day and with Fiberwig, I am free from panda eyes.

2. Can be easily removed.

How easy?

You don't want tiny wrinkles resulted by overly rubbing your eyes when you're trying to remove your real smudge proof mascara that works like marker pen on your lashes.

Gently remove it with warm water will do.

Now, you might want to ask me : What if I wheep?

The truth is,

the mascara falls off!

But it's not like it falls off totally until your eyes went naked.

Do expect some mascara flakes on your face without causing panda eyes.

You can wheep in a clean and tidy way. =D

3. It does elongate and thicken your eye lashes after a few waves.

And of course the more you wave the longer your eye lashes will go.

However, the eye lashes I was wearing in the above picture were fake. ha!

But honestly,

Fiberwig seriously elongates your eye lashes but not to the extent shown in the picture above.

Not until I found this.

I know it sounded like a chant.
But the fact is that you gotta do the above step repetitively for some N times if you want really really long lashes.

I stopped using Shizens mascara because it dried off and I need a mascara urgently,

so I picked Fiberwig from Sasa, Pavillion instead.

Effects are similar with applying fake lashies.

The good news is that you no longer have to worry about your fake lashies from falling off leaving you embarrassed.

Especially when you're out on a date!

*ouch*

The cons is that it makes your eye lashes look a bit unruly.

Looks like some fly legs on my eyes.

And you gotta beware as tiny fibers will be everywhere on your face beneath your eyes and on your nose.

No worries!This can be solved by simply swipping them away.

Just check your make up twice before you walk out from your room!

It does elongates and thickens your lashes in a more natural way.

Note that my lower lashes are really scarce.

Other mascara which I have tried before doesn't do significant difference.

But not anymore when I started using that bottle of fibre.

Just to randomly show you a dress I saw in Fahrenheit 88 which I did not take home.

Just like any other gurls,

I took a picture with the dress (plus my awesomely made-up eye lashies) without bringing the dress back.

After few hours of shopping.

Just to show you my hair is still as neat.

and ya still no panda eyes.

Ohhh I just realized that my teeth are no longer photogenic!!!

Seriously,

I need to visit my dentist again after missing our last appointment some half a year ago.

And I have then procrastinated for some more than half a year time.

Heineken-The Art of Pouring

It's a long weekend for me thanks to my horrible stomache which happened on Friday. I woke up with terrible stomache and headache plus a pale face which freaked my mum out. So, you know, I took a MC.

The night before I was in Heineken's event called the "The Art of Pouring" workshop conducted by Beer Craftsman from Netherlands, Franck Evers. This is Malaysia's first ever 'The Art of Pouring' workshop which provided a rare opportunity for beer enthusiasts and bartenders to witness first-hand the defining factors of the art of pouring a perfect Heineken pint.

During the workshop, Franck walked the guests through the four essential steps that go into pouring a perfect pint of beer: he also talked about the common mistakes people make when pouring a pint of beer and how they may be corrected. Besides that, he also spent time discussing service standards and the role it plays in providing consumers with the perfect drinking experience.

I am not gonna write about the whole event. I couldn't manage to reach the event on time thanks to the horrible traffic jam around KL all the way to KL Central. By the way, the event was held in Hilton KL Central.

Here's how the four steps to Puring the Perfect Heineken like :

Step 1

Rinse the glass in cold water. Never dry with a towel as it leaves fibres behind.

Step 2

Pour
Pull the beer tap in one quick motion. Let the build up of carbon dioxide escape, control the flow of the beer and then let it spiral into the glass which is tilted at 45-degree angle. Then close tap in a quick motion when the foam reaches the top of the glass.

A guest was invited to pour a glass.

But it ended up like this.

Too much foams.

This is the hardest part in fact. With Franck's guidance I tried pulling a pint but it wasn't satisfying tho.

Step 3

Skim
Do not underestimate the 'pOwEr' of skimming. I'll tell you why.

Remove excess foam with a wet skimmer held at a 45-degree angle.
Q : Why must it be wet?
This leaves a thin layer of water over the foam which protects it from oxidizing.
A perfect two-finger thick head of foam ensures that the beer stays fresh and cold for longer keeping it from going flat.

Step 4
Serve your customers quickly and with a smile. =)

I am very much a dessert lover especially when it comes to cakes and fruit tarts filled with cheese.

Mango tarts, Plum tarts, kiwi tarts and Strawberry tarts were served. The fruits were freshly cut coated with sweet honey syrup.

Unfortunately, I couldn't stay until the event ends because the stomache which gives me a MC on Friday started that night and I could hardly squeeze a smile during photography session.

It happened months ago and why are the pictures up here so late???

let's leave the pointing-finger part at the end of this post.

Words couldn't describe how tasty the cake was.

It was kinda surprise birthday dinner eventho I was being told beforehand that my birthday will be celebrated.

On 24th Feb 2011
I was kinda surprised when my office meeting was ended by a cake being brought into the meeting room at some 5pm after-work hour. I know and Im aware that the word 'surprise' is being used repeatedly and trust me it'll be used again in my later sentences LOL I cant help it because everything were surprises made by people whom I love and loved me! XD

Okay let's continue with the office celebration part. It was a birthday celebration meant for me and my another female colleague, Parisa whose birthday falls one day earlier than mine. I always think it's a joy to have shared the happiness of celebrating birthdays with someoneelse working with you. ^^

That night itself was a wonderful night with my boyfriends' friends and I felt so warm that they actually organized a birthday dinner for me. I had taken some pictures during that special day of mine but everything was gone following the lost of my previous handphone. *hmm I know tragedy always happen to my phone luckily Im not having an Iphone =D expensive phone is just so not somethin for a phone-missing kind of person like me LOL*

Anyway, luckily I still have ONE picture to be kept as memory.

WeeEEee!!!

It's been a loong loooong looooooooong time since I last updated my blog post. How are you doing?

I've been busy with my fulltime job lately and this is why I couldn't spare my time sweet talking to you, my dear readers! XD

I couldn't remember how long ago it was when I last pick up my drawing pen to actually draw something which make sense. Erm I mean, some pictures which carries meaningful message.

So today, while I was busy cracking my head with ideas to decorate my office (I was being appointed as project embassador for our "4D Home Office project" *LOL*), my baby sister came next to me with a piece of white paper and a pencil asking for my favor to draft her a poster entitled : Anti Dadah.

Nolstagic eh?

Luckily, fortunately, my drawing skill has not entirely swallowed by rust yet.

Looking for the right pair of shoes have always been my most-concern.

Like most of you girls out there, I am a frequent shopper of Vincci, Nose and Charles & Keith. Since the opening of Charles & Keith Pavilion, I hardly pay visit to Nose and Vincci except to get some sandals as I realize that most of their pumps and heels hurt my feet. I have very particular feet that gives me headache when it comes to shoe shopping. Hence, once the right pair was found, I'll forever stick to that particular brand unless some other more suitable ones appear in the market.

In this beautiful Saturday afternoon, I drove breezily to Bukit Bintang to get myself a suitable pair of new shoes. As usual, I stopped in Charles & Keith. After having a few pair tried on, the idea of visiting Crocs flashed thru my mind. And then, Pavilion I went. =D

Unbelivably, the very humble looking Crocs has become a symbol of trend.

Honestly, I used to think that it looks ugly especially the way it makes your feet look as big as Mr. McDonald's. And I couldn't imagine how would it smells after a long day of wearing especially to those who has a pair of sweaty feet ( Im wondering how could the rubber help dissipitates odour? ).

To date, ugliness has become history. Crocs evolve!

Crocs are coming with different designs. For the men and women. From casual wear to sports wear. From Ballerina flats to boots. They've come with different designs that offers comfort to your feet in different occasions!

Hair cut session@A cut Above, Parkson Pavillion

Have you experienced this? - feeling frustrated after every haircut? Like most of you out there does, I experienced that and I hardly got the right haircut which Im satisfied with. But this happens no more after my visit to A Cut Above, Parkson Pavilion the Sunday after Christmas 2010!

Thanks to Parkson, I got a voucher for their hair cut service which worth some hundred something. From hair wash to blow drying, everything was meticulously done!

That girl in purple, hairstylist of the day - Tessa Chuah, a senior hair stylist in A Cut Above. I love her patience in guiding me to the right hairstyle. The plus point is that she's pretty, gentle and soft-spoken. Loving her service♥

She politely apologized after having me waiting for more than half an hour for my turn eventhough I dont find it an issue because it's a Sunday, the salon was really packed.

my fringe was being cut short and most of the curls were off. My hair was too thin therefore she gave me a blunt cut with lesser layers.

a new hairstyle for this coming new year!

This is by far the most satisfying hairstyle I've ever had. It's exactly what I wanted it to be - more volume, slightly curly at the tips, a fringe that falls naturally on my face. I have very thin hair on top of my head and with their help, the problem is now solved!

About the ambience, it's undeniably good. They have their own washroom in their salon so you do not have to walk all the way out looking for restroom with the salon robe on and hot rollers all over your head.

Talk about Winnie Loo, I didn't saw her around altho the schedule shows that she'll be in Pavilion branch every weekends.
